2020 Nissan Titan Platinum Reserve Changes, Release Date, Interior – The pickup trucks continue to be in focus since the introduction of three all-new light-duty models in early 2018 while the 2020 Nissan Titan Platinum Reserve model year will bring the redesigned heavy-duty uses. Detroit based truck makers are leading the game in the industry with a huge number of sold units but there are more options worth looking. Nissan Titan is another example of the powerful and versatile light-duty truck and the brand has also the XD version of this model with the size and capability that slots between the light-duty and heavy-duty segments.
2020 Nissan Titan Platinum Reserve Changes
Nissan redesigned the appealing Titan for the 2017 model year while the 2019 version brought the smartphone compatibility features and new sound system. The truck lacks, however, active safety systems available in the increasing number of trucks and offers also fewer powertrain options than the class leaders. Nissan could soon address some of the issues and the 2020 Nissan Titan Platinum Reserve could bring some worthy upgrades. It is still unofficial what will be the upgrades of the next Titan version as Nissan remains mum about its plan but the recent reports suggest some possibilities. The brand promised the V-6 engine version for the Titan model and the same engine should also power the redesigned mid-size Frontier. Nissan hasn’t revealed the launch date of the new engine but the sources indicate it could arrive in time for the 2020 version. Further upgrades should include some visual tweaks and the new safety systems could also appear.
2020 Nissan Titan Platinum Reserve Interior
Inside the cabin, there won’t be major changes and the truck should keep everything in the place as it is now. Nissan upgraded the infotainment system of the truck for the 2019 version and the model will provide Apple Car Play and Android auto functions in every version. The new model will arrive with the cloth upholstery, air conditioning, six speakers and a 7-inch touchscreen with NissanConnect system in the base version. The upper grades will add chrome exterior pieces, dual zone climate control, navigation, upgraded upholstery and sound system, etc. The truck will also include the blind-spot monitors and rear cross-traffic alert. The current version is missing adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency control, and active lane control but we don’t proof yet that Nissan will add them to the next version.
2020 Nissan Titan Platinum Reserve Specs
The recently redesigned GM’s twins and up-to-date Ford F-150 comes with a diverse range of engine options including turbocharged, four-, six- and eight-cylinder units. The current Nissan Titan has a single V-8 engine in the equipment list but Nissan promised to expand the offer with the new V-6 unit. The 2020 Nissan Titan Platinum Reserve could gain the new six-cylinder power as the reports suggest but Nissan hasn’t yet confirmed the release date or the specs of the engine. The talks in the industry suggest the 3.5-liter V-6 unit from the Pathfinder SUV. Under the hood of the Pathfinder, this engine makes 284 hp and torque of 259 lb-ft. If this proofs to be true, the same engine should find the way to the next generation, mid-size Frontier.
2020 Nissan Titan Platinum Reserve Release Date and Price
The 2020 Nissan Titan Platinum Reserve is expected in late 2019. It will be a cheaper but capable alternative to the recently redesigned light-duty models and best-selling F-150. The price could increase slightly if the reported upgrades appear with the next version.
